Every day in grocery stores across the country, perfectly good food can go unsold simply because it’s nearing its best-by date or there’s more of it than the store needs. That food is still safe, fresh, and delicious — but too often it ends up in a garbage dumpster.

We think there’s a better way. That’s why we launched Flashfood at Clark’s Market. We are currently piloting the program in three stores — Crested Butte, Lowry, and Meeker. We look forward to rolling out all stores in 2026.

What Is Flashfood?

Flashfood is an easy-to-use mobile app that lets you purchase grocery items that are nearing their best-by date at deep discounts — often up to 50% off.

These are items that are still fresh and safe to eat but need to be sold quickly. An example of an item that could end up in a Flashfood box is a pineapple that has been dropped from the shelf. The pineapple has a bruise on the bottom—and when stacked up with unbruised pineapples, is unlikely to be purchased—but will be perfect for someone making smoothies or cut fruit at home.

You’ll typically find things like:

• Fresh produce
• Meat and seafood
• Dairy products
• Prepared foods
• Bakery items
• Pantry goods
• Grab-and-go items

Instead of going to waste, these foods get a second chance — and you get a great deal.

Search Flashfood in the Apple App Store or Google Play Store and download the free app.

2. Choose Your Clark’s Market Location

Open the app and select your local Clark’s Market to see what items are available.

3. Browse Available Deals

You’ll see discounted items listed in the app, often up to 50% off.

4. Purchase Through the App

Add items to your cart and pay directly in the app.

5. Pick Up Your Items in Store

Your Flashfood order will be waiting in the Flashfood pickup cooler or location inside the store. Just show your receipt in the app to a team member if needed.
