Ingredients
- 4 red pears, halved and cored
- 2 tbsp honey
- 1 tbsp melted butter (or olive oil)
- ½ tsp ground cinnamon
- ¼ tsp ground cardamom (optional)
- Pinch of salt
- ½ cup mascarpone cheese
- 1 tsp vanilla extract
- ¼ cup chopped toasted walnuts
- Fresh mint for garnish
- Preheat oven to 375°F.
- Place halved pears cut-side up in a baking dish.
- In a small bowl, mix honey, melted butter, cinnamon, cardamom, and salt. Brush the mixture generously over the pears.
- Bake for 25–30 minutes until the pears are tender and caramelized, basting once or twice with the pan juices.
- In a separate bowl, stir vanilla into the mascarpone until smooth.
- To serve, plate warm pears with a dollop of mascarpone, sprinkle with toasted walnuts, and garnish with fresh mint.
